John D'Amaro
John was born in Brooklyn, NY to a very musical family.  His father could not read music but could hear any song once, then sit down and play it on the piano.  Rich, John’s younger brother, grew to become an outstanding drummer.  John was interested in the accordion at an early age, and his father encouraged him by having a music teacher come to the house once a week to provide music lessons.  He not only learned how to play the accordion, he also played the baritone horn in his school orchestra.

In high school, John formed a vocal group called the Rhythm Aces that produced a record in 1960.  That recording (Crazy Jealousy) can still be heard today on youtube.  While in the US Army, he also created a vocal group that performed throughout the base.  In the late 60’s, John moved to Long Island and played with a variety of dance and catering bands.  Upon moving to New Jersey, he continued with his musical career in both singing with vocal groups as well as performing with cover bands.  He enjoys arranging as well as creating music electronically.
